At the inauguration of the Hyderabad branch of the London-based 52 Gates Law Firm, IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu urged legal professionals to zealously protect India’s Constitution. He emphasized that the egalitarian framework, crafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and nurtured by Jawaharlal Nehru, is under threat from forces seeking to undermine democracy.
Sridhar Babu warned that attempts to disrupt constitutional values have intensified over the past decade, and called on lawyers and law firms to join the “Save the Constitution” mission by raising public awareness of citizens’ rights. He stressed the importance of closing the gap between rich and poor, and encouraged professionals to extend their services to the underprivileged while also investing in Hyderabad’s business and legal environment.
The event also highlighted the growing role of technology in law. Nigel Booth of Manchester Law University noted that the legal sector must adapt to the rise of artificial intelligence or risk falling behind.
The inauguration was attended by public figures including Telangana Mining Corporation chairman Anil Kumar Eravarthy, Zaheerabad MLA Madan Mohan Rao, former minister Dr. A. Chandrasekhar, MLA Laxmikantha Rao, and members of the 52 Gates Legal Firm.
