Biography

Raul Sanchez Urribarri is Associate Dean and Associate Professor at La Trobe University, specializing in constitutionalism, judicial politics, and the rule of law, particularly in contexts of democratic decline such as Venezuela. Holding a PhD in Political Science from the University of South Carolina, an LLM from Cambridge, and a law degree from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, his work spans academia, policy advising, and international education. He has published widely in top journals, co-edited several books, and held visiting positions at institutions like UC Berkeley and the American Bar Foundation. He also plays leadership roles in scholarly and educational organizations, promoting global engagement and experiential learning.
