Sky Ma’s research interests lie in comparative criminal procedure, law & tech, the legal profession, and evidence law. Sky was a Hauser Postdoctoral Global Fellow at NYU School of Law after she received her SJD from UCLA, and PhD in Law from Tsinghua University.
Sky served as an extern Judicial Clerk at the California Court of Appeal Second District of the United States of America. She also worked at the Supreme People’s Court of China and participated in the drafting of the Judicial Interpretation of the Criminal Procedure Law of China (2021). She has co-authored several papers and a book about Judicial Interpretation. In addition, Sky is the principal investigator in several research projects on law and technology funded by the China Law Society.
